Kheer/Payasam is a type of pudding from the Indian subcontinent.
Payasam was always the main sweet dish at Hindu temples and part of their celebrations.It is typically served during a meal or as a dessert.
Ingredients -
1 Cup Semiya or Vermicelli
½ Cup Sugar (Adjust to suit your taste)
10-12 cashew nuts or as needed
10-15 Black Raisin or as needed
Milk - 1 Litre
1 Pinch Saffron
1 Tablespoon clarified butter (Ghee)
Almond 4-5 (Finely shear lengthwise)
Pistachios 7-8 (Finely shear lengthwise)
Chironji (Buchanania lanzan) - 1 Tablespoon
½ teaspoon Cardamom powder
