New York City Mayor Bill de Blasio says his city "will need between 1,000 and 1,500 more ventilators" next week, during a press conference on Covid-19, appealing to the federal and state governments to help reach this goal. He also says New York City's hospitals will need an additional 45,000 medical personnel to help face the expected surge of infected patients.
