NYC Mayor Eric Adams is declaring a ‘war on rats,’ after rodent sightings across the city have increased 71% since 2020.

As part of its new plan, the Adams admin will restrict how many hours trash bags are allowed to sit on NYC street curbs, by shortening the start of the window from 4pm to 8pm.
