Coronavirus: Hong Kong’s tomb-sweeping Ching Ming festival sees drop in visitors
  • 4 years ago
Hong Kong’s cemeteries are normally full this time of year, as families pay their respects to deceased loved ones during the annual Ching Ming Festival. But when the tomb-sweeping festival arrived on April 4, 2020, many graves were left unattended as people stayed home on the advice of the city government over concerns about spreading the deadly coronavirus behind the Covid-19 pandemic. However, some Hongkongers did come out to pay their respects.
