Shoppers go crazy for bottles of hand sanitiser in Manila

Frantic shoppers in the Philippines scramble for hand sanitiser and alcohol to protect themselves against the coronavirus.
The footage was taken in Manila on March 13, a few days before the Philippines government implemented community quarantine guidelines to limit the movement of its citizens across each city border.
Shopper Benson Handog said that the crowd went berserk when a member of staff brought out boxes of alcohol.
He said: "It was crazy, everyone was fighting off to get a piece."
Military checkpoints were set up last Sunday (March 15) around Metro Manila the country's capital region, as a strategy to prevent the spread of COVID-19.
