In a bizarre incident, at least seven persons died in Yavatmal's Wani in Maharashtra after consuming hand sanitizer on Saturday. According to the police, all the deceased are daily wagers, who consumed hand sanitisers as liquor shops were closed because of the lockdown in state from April 22 to May 1, 2021. The police informed that the matter is being investigated.
