Thai teenagers caught riding without helmets are punished to sing by police

This is the amusing moment a cop caught four teenagers riding without helmets, then made them SING as a punishment.

Road users are normally hit with a 200 baht (5GBP) on-the-spot fine. But the policeman dished out the quaint punishment as the youngsters didn't have any money on them.

Onlooker Khun Zon filmed the scene while he was waiting for the bus in Pattaya, Chonburi, eastern Thailand on February 14.

Filmer Zon said: "This is a good way to teach the children a lesson. I hope they will respect the traffic regulations from now on."

Another common punishment for teenagers caught riding illegally is to make them to star-jumps or push-ups on the roadside.
