Hundreds of waterfowl land on lake of red lotus flowers in Thailand

This is the picturesque moment hundreds of waterfowl landed on a lake full of red lotus flowers in north-eastern Thailand.

Local photographer Suchet captured the stunning scene while he was relaxing at the Bua Daeng Lake in Udon Thani province, on December 17, last year.

The ducks and geese, many of which have migrated from cooler climbs for the winter, are normally seen around the freshwater lakes, especially the lakes covered by the bright pink flowers, throughout Southeast Asia. Suchet said: "This is one of the most beautiful places in the whole country. Not many people visit here.''
