A man working at a Wendy's was filmed sitting half-naked in the restaurant's kitchen sink in a viral video filmed at the branch in Greenville, Michigan
This disgusting video shows a man taking a bath in the kitchen sink at a fast-food restaurant – getting him and his co-workers sacked for the stunt.
In the video, first shared on TikTok and then going viral on Facebook, the young man is seen sitting topless in the soapy water – with it unclear if he is totally naked.
“It feels like, it feels like a hot tub. I’m just enjoying life,” he jokes during the prank, filmed in a branch of Wendy’s in Greenville, Michigan, at an unknown date, although it exploded online yesterday.
The man who posted the clip on Facebook wrote: "So yeah I'm just gonna tell everyone right now DON'T GO TO THE GREENVILLE WENDYS. THIS IS DISGUSTING PLEASEEEEEE SHARE THIS."
This is not the first time a member of staff has been filming having a bath in the industrial-sized sinks at Wendy’s, with an employee fired for the same thing at a branch in Milton, Florida, last year.
In this latest clip, another staff member in Wendy’s uniform is seen to play along and even throws a sponge at the man, saying: “Wash yourself!"
The person who filmed the clip can be heard laughing in the background.
It has since emerged that all the people involved in making the video were fired from the Greenville Wendy’s – owned by restaurant business Team Schostak – and the branch was also given a deep clean.
Christian Camp, a Team Schostak spokesman, told Newsweek: “Upon learning of this situation, all employees in the video were terminated immediately and the restaurant has been completely sanitised.
This egregious behaviour is completely unacceptable and counter to our safety, training and operational standards."
Commenting on Twitter, one unhappy woman said: "Wendy's it’s absolutely disgusting that someone was taking a bath in the sink I will never eat there again."
However, some other people suggested the prank was funny, with one person tweeting: "Wendy's I didn’t know about this test market idea!
"Now you’re serving breakfast and I can take my morning bath at the same time. Huge time saver."
Another person quipped: “How many people are going to go to Greenville Wendy's today and ask how much a bath costs?”
