ClassPass launched in 2013 as a way to help
gyms and studios fill empty slots in classes.
After raising $285 million in
new funding, the fitness startup
is now valued at over $1 billion,
making it a “unicorn.”.
CEO Fritz Lanman told CNN Business that there are
no plans to go public anytime soon and that
“the goal is to stay independent.”.
The model has moved from an unlimited
plan to a tiered membership and is
currently run on a credit-based system.
The company now has more than
30,000 boutique studio, gym and
wellness partners in 28 countries
