After two months of protests, Guinea heads into a fraught election year
  • il y a 4 ans
For the past two months, Guinean opposition supporters have been protesting a new draft constitution that could allow President Alpha Conde to remain in power for a third term. Some 20 people have died in the unrest so far, in a movement that shows no sign of stopping. All eyes are on next year, when the country holds legislative elections in February and a presidential election at the end of the year -- not to mention a possible constitutional referendum.
