On Thursday, in Manipur's Imphal valley, clashes between protesters and security forces left at least 15 individuals injured as demonstrators attempted to overrun police stations and face arrest. They were demanding the unconditional release of five men apprehended on Saturday for posing as policemen and possessing firearms. As a preventive measure, the state government imposed a complete curfew in Imphal East and Imphal West districts.
