Impossible doesn't exist in football say Monterrey ahead of Liverpool clash

CONCACAF champions Monterrey spoke to the media on Tuesday on the eve of their Club World Cup semi-final meeting with UEFA Champions League winners Liverpool.

The Mexican side beat All Sadd 3-2 in Saturday's last 8 meeting to set up the match against the 2019 UEFA Champions League winners.

Monterrey have played an English side in the Club World Cup previously, losing 3-1 to Chelsea in 2012.

Los Rayados have also won Liga MX, Mexico's top flight, on four occasions.

Jurgen Klopp's side - the reigning European champions - are bidding to clinch what would be a first Club World Cup title.

The 'Reds'' only previous appearance in the competition came in 2005, when they were beaten 1-0 by Santos in the final.
