नागरिकता कानून पर सरकार को देशभर में विरोध का सामना करना पड़ रहा है. तमाम विपक्षी पार्टियां इस मुद्दे पर सरकार को घेर रही हैं. अब बीजेपी की पुरानी सहयोगी शिरोमणि अकाली दल ने कहा है कि सीएए में मुस्लिमों को भी शामिल किया जाना चाहिए.
