Faced with opposition from key members of the UN security council,China has withdrawn a notice for a discussion at the United Nations Security Council today on Jammu and Kashmir.

A French diplomatic source said,"Kashmir will not be discussed in the Security council today. Our position has been very clear. Kashmir issue has to be treated bilaterally. We have highlighted this several times recently, including in New York."

कश्मीर के मुद्दे पर भारत को घेरने की चीन की चाल एक बार फिर से विफल हो गई है। खबरें थीं कि चीन ने संयुक्त राष्ट्र सुरक्षा परिषद यानी UNSC में दूसरी बार अपील करते हुए बंद कमरे में कश्मीर मुद्दे पर चर्चा करने की प्रस्ताव रखा था. हालांकि मीडिया के मुताबिक, अमेरिका, फ्रांस,
ब्रिटेन और रूस के विरोध के बाद चीन ने अपने इस प्रस्ताव को वापस ले लिया है. बताया जाता है कि चीन ने अमेरिका के दबाव के बाद इस प्रस्ताव को वापस लेने की हामी भरी है. फ्रांस ने भी चीन को कड़े शब्दों में हिदायत दी है कि कश्मीर का मसला भारत और पाकिस्तान के बीच का है
