Forest department officials haul out antelope from 60-foot step-well in central India

Forest department officials hauled out a lost antelope that fell into a 60-foot-deep step-well in central India.

The incident took place on November 30 in rural Shivpuri district, Madhya Pradesh.

According to reports, the nilgai fell down inside the well located near the Kali Mata temple at around 8:00 am.

Locals soon rushed to the spot and tried to pull out the antelope, however after failing to pull it out, the forest department was informed.

The team used ropes and a team at the well's surface to lift the nilgai out.

The antelope was administered medical aid as it sustained injuries during the fall.

Later, it was released into the Madhav National Park.
