Questions have been frequently raised about the expenditure on foreign tours of Prime Minister Narendra Modi, but during this time, he also tries to cut expenses in some way. In the Lok Sabha, Home Minister Amit Shah said that during the voyage of foreign travel, Prime Minister Modi rests at the airport terminals instead of spending the night at the Five Star Hotel. Shah said "In his personal and public life, PM Modi has followed a very disciplined system. He said that whenever PM Modi goes abroad, he takes less than 20 per cent of his staff with him.

प्रधानमंत्री नरेंद्र मोदी के विदेशी दौरों पर होने वाले खर्च को लेकर अक्सर सवाल उठते रहे हैं लेकिन इस दौरान भी वो कोशिश करते हैं कि किसी तरह खर्चों में कटौती की जा सके. लोकसभा में गृहमंत्री अमित शाह ने कहा कि प्रधानमंत्री मोदी विदेश यात्राओं में हॉल्ट के दौरान फाइव स्टार होटल में रात गुजारने के बजाय एयरपोर्ट टर्मिनल्स पर ही आराम करते हैं। शाह ने कहा "अपने व्यक्तिगत और सार्वजनिक जीवन में पीएम मोदी ने एक बहुत ही अनुशासित व्यवस्था का पालन किया है. उन्होंने कहा कि जब भी पीएम मोदी विदेश यात्रा पर जाते हैं, तो वो अपने साथ 20 फीसदी तक कम स्टाफ साथ ले जाते हैं.
