A team of doctors of the Department of Urology at Sir Gangaram Hospital in Delhi has managed to remove the world's third largest kidney by operation. It is the heaviest kidney in India, which has been extracted from the body of a person. The weight of this kidney is 7.4 kg, the person who has this kidney, he is from Delhi and his age is 63 years. According to media reports, the patient was suffering from a genetic disorder called autosomal dominant polycystic kidney disease.
