Skilled Indian chef makes rice pancakes in shapes of birds and butterflies

Vella appam (rice pancake) is one of the most popular food items in the southern state of Kerala, India.

In this video a creative chef effortlessly prepares designer appams in different shapes within seconds. He makes a heart, a butterfly, a flower and a leaf in each of the five pans.

The filmer said: "Kids who come to this restaurant are fascinated and enjoy eating as their food comes in custom-made shapes and sizes."
