Pregnant cow rescued from 40-foot-deep well in south India

A pregnant cow that fell inside a village well in south India, and was rescued by the fire department.

Muthusamy, a farmer from Manaparai of Trichy District, Tamil Nadu, was taking his cows for a graze on November 16, when one of them suddenly fell into 40-foot-deep earthen well.

The injured cow was screaming for help, drawing Muthusamy, who found it at the bottom of the well.

The farmer then called fire personnel and they rushed to the spot to rescue the cow.

After a couple of hours with the use of a rope winch the cow was rescued seemingly unharmed.
