The country's 46th Chief Justice Ranjan Gogoi retired on 17 November. On the last working day, Ranjan Gogoi paid tribute to Mahatma Gandhi's samadhi. Ranjan Gogoi, who was the Chief Justice of the country for 13 months, delivered a total of 47 decisions during his tenure. Some of Ranjan Gogoi's decisions were historical.
