Nature reserve workers in China free elk from 15kg fishing net
  • 4 years ago
Workers from eastern China's Poyang Lake Nature Reserve freed an elk from a heavy 15-kilogram fishing net.

In the video, filmed in the county of Duchang in Jiangxi Province on November 9, an elk's head was entangled and fully covered by a fishing net.

Another clip shows workers chasing after the elk to manage to catch it and help free it.

After they caught the elk, they tied it up for safety issues. Then they cut the net and removed it for elk while giving it water to reduce it temperature.

After around ten minutes, the 15-kilogram-weight net was removed from the elk and it returned to the wild.
