Fog turns to ice at China nature reserve

Extremely low temperatures in southern China have created eerie and surreal scenes at a national nature reserve, where fog has turned to ice and giant frozen mushroom-like sculptures dominate the landscape.

In video filmed in Dashanbao Black-necked Crane National Nature Reserve in Zhaotong city in southwestern Yunnan Province on January 15, frozen fog and snow cover the outer surface of objects.

According to local reports, temperatures reached -14 degrees C in the last week.
