Young Adults, Study Shows.
The findings are based on the results of the
2002-2016 National Survey on Drug Use and Health.
The American Academy of Pediatrics published an
article detailing the results of the study, which
examined marijuana and tobacco use among
18 to 22-year-olds in the U.S. .
The survey found that exclusive
marijuana use in young adults
is increasing, particularly
among college students. .
The number of college students who
reported exclusively smoking marijuana over
the span of a month increased by nearly 8%.
The study also found that exclusive
tobacco smokers decreased by almost
16% over the 14 year span among
non-college individuals. .
Vaping was not explored in the study,
despite its growing usage among
young adults throughout the U.S
