The way for President's rule in Maharashtra has been cleared. After the parties failed to prove their majority for twenty days, Governor Bhagat Singh Koshyari sent a report to the Center for imposing President's rule in Maharashtra. The Union Cabinet discussed the recommendation of Governor Bhagat Singh Koshiyari. After this, the Governor's recommendation was sent to the President for approval.

महाराष्ट्र में राष्ट्रपति शासन लगने का रास्ता साफ हो गया है। बीस दिनों तक बहुमत साबित करने में सभा पार्टियों के फेल रहने के बाद राज्यपाल भगत सिंह कोश्यारी ने महाराष्ट्र में राष्ट्रपति शासन लगाने के लिए केंद्र को रिपोर्ट भेज दी। राज्यपाल भगत सिंह कोशियारी की सिफारिश पर केंद्रीय कैबिनेट ने चर्चा की। इसके बाद राज्यपाल की सिफारिश को राष्ट्रपति के पास मंजूरी के लिए भेज दिया।
