We are aware Chinese unhappy with Harapan, give us time, says Muhyiddin

Home Affairs Minister Muhyiddin Yassin admitted that there is unhappiness among Chinese voters towards the Pakatan Harapan government.

However, he said they should give the coalition more time to fix legacy problems especially involving the economy.

He added that economic downtrends happen overtime, not just because of a change of government and these issues takes time to resolve.

He was responding to a question on a Tanjung Piai field survey by Institut Darul Ehsan (IDE), last month, which found that only about 40 percent of Chinese respondents are planning to vote for the party they chose 18 months ago in GE14.

The think-tank, which is owned by the Selangor government, also found that a majority of the demographic is undecided about who to vote for in the Nov 16 by-election.
