Extinction Rebellion activists stormed the Africa Oil Week conference in Cape Town and staged an "oil spill" to highlight the impact of fossil fuels on the environment.

Footage filmed on November 5 shows activists spilling an oil-like substance on the floor and holding banners reading "Stop funding climate change".

A large banner reading "Africa Oil Week climate conference criminals" was also hoisted in the venue.
