Thailand’s King Maha Vajiralongkorn has stripped his royal consort of her titles and military ranks for disloyalty and acting against Queen Suthida “for her own ambitions”, according to a palace statement released on October 21, 2019. The announcement came months after 34-year-old Sineenat Wongvajirapakdi, known by her nickname “Koi” was bestowed the title of Royal Noble Consort on July 28, the first such appointment made in almost a century.
