Thai king strips official side piece of royal titles for disloyalty

BANGKOK — It appears that Thailand's playboy King Vajiralongkorn is having some trouble keeping his royal house in order after he had the great idea of reviving an old palace tradition of taking a junior wife.
According to the BBC, the crop topping king has stripped his royal consort of her rank and titles for "misbehavior and disloyalty against the monarch."
An official announcement said Sineenat Wongvaojirabpakidi had been overly "ambitious" and tried to "elevate herself to the same state as the queen."
It also said, "the royal consort's behaviors were considered disrespectful."
She was officially appointed to royal side piece in July, just two months after the king got hitched to Queen Suthida, his fourth lucky wife.
Sineenat, who is apparently some type of major-general, a trained pilot, nurse and bodyguard, was the first person to be slapped with the name of Royal Noble Consort in nearly a century.
The only problem? The former flight attendant and deputy head of the king's bodyguard unit—Queen Suthida.
Apparently Sineenat was trying to get in the way of Suthida's official appointment to Queen.
To make a long story short, the king was trying to have his cake and eat it too. That didn't work out so well, so now he's cutting one of them loose.
