Python caught after trying to raid chicken coop and getting tangled in netting

This python tried to pounce on chickens but ended up tangled in the net surrounding their coop earlier this month (September 13) in Trang, Southern Thailand.

The 15ft long snake slithered into the enclosure before getting stuck in the wire netting surrounding it.

Farmer Jumnien Charoensuk, 45, went to feed his poultry when he noticed the python writhing around, trying to free itself.

He was shocked by the size of the snake so he contacted the emergency services to catch it before it could escape and eat his animals.

The rescue team dragged the 15ft-long python out of the coop before freeing it from the net and stuffing it in the sack.

Jumnien said he was relieved after he found that all of his chickens were still alive.

He said: "After the snake was caught, I went into the coop and counted my chickens and ducks. Thankfully there was none missing.

"Now I have to repair the netting but at least I know that it prevents snakes from getting inside.''
