An NYPD police officer was shot in the hand and a suspect was killed on Staten Island on Tuesday morning (September 17), according to reports.
The female officer was shot on Prince Street in Staten Island at 9am. The officer is expected to survive her injuries.
Local media said the unidentified man was rushed to Staten Island University North Hospital, where he was pronounced dead.
