This forest fire in South Sumatra province in Indonesia is contributing to the haze choking Malaysia and Singapore.

Footage shows huge plumes of smoke rising on Saturday from the blaze in Sungai Pinang village in Banyuasin regency.

Pollution from forest fires in Indonesia pushed Singapore's air quality to unhealthy levels for the first time in three years on Saturday, according to the government.

Neighbouring Malaysia has also been affected with air quality in parts of the country reaching unhealthy levels in recent days.
