Novak Djokvic tamed world No. 1 Rafa Nadal in straight sets to claim his fourth Sony Open title. Both Nadal and Djokovic were well-rested after receiving walkovers into the finals after opponents withdrew from the semi-finals. The final ended early as Djokovic kept firing on all cylinders while Nadal stayed on the defensive. The win was the second straight Masters series title for the second-ranked Serb, who also defeated Roger Federer in the BNP Paribas Open.
