Djokovic beats Ferrer to clinch Paris Masters title
  • 5 years ago
MANILA, Philippines – In tennis, Novak Djokovic beat defending champion David Ferrer of Spain to win the Paris Masters and keep his hopes of reclaiming the world No. 1 spot alive. The Serb recovered from a break down in both sets to snatch his third consecutive title and the 40th of his career, after also winning the Beijing and Shanghai Masters in October. Djokovic can still overthrow world No. 1 Rafael Nadal if he wins the ATP World Tour Finals in London next week as well as the Davis Cup final with Serbia, which will host Czech Republic in Belgrade later this month. Meanwhile, Nadal will ensure that he stays on top of the rankings if he wins at least two matches in London. -- Mornings @ ANC, November 4, 2013.
