PNoy slams police official for speaking out against transfer

President Benigno Aquino III delivered a stinging criticism to an unnamed police official who had refused to accept a new assignment. Speaking at the Philippine National Police's "Araw ng Parangal sa Kapulisan," Aquino said public servants cannot choose their assignments and should instead put the public good ahead of their own personal interests. He also slammed the unnamed official for expressing his dismay in mass media. The criticism appears to be directed at Senior Superintendent Conrad Capa, former head of Task Force Tugis, who was transferred to Cebu just days after he led the capture of property developer Delfin Lee. Capa has repeatedly said in media interviews that his transfer was an "injustice." ANC Dateline Philippines, May 1, 2014
