Pope Francis again prayed for the victims of typhoon "Yolanda," as he celebrated mass at the Vatican together with the Archbishop of Manila Cardinal Luis Antonio Tagle. St. Peter's Basilica was filled with Filipinos and about 120 priests during the mass. Tagle talked about the typhoo's destruction during the mass. "Cathedrals, sanctuaries, chapels, churches and cultural heritage sites have been damaged, some even destroyed. There is so much suffering, so much loss around us, Holy Father," he said. Before the mass, the Pope blessed an image of St. Pedro Calungsod. The image is set to be installed at the crypt of the church, next to the tomb of Pope Paul VI. "Recently, I have been very close with your people, and I felt that the challenge was tough. Too tough. But I also felt that the people were tough," the Pope said. "Why do these things happen? It's impossible to explain. There are many things that we cannot understand," he said. ANC Dateline Philippines, November 23, 2013
