The Mines and Geosciences Bureau (MGB) is looking into the extent of the threat of a new sinkhole 50 meters from the Tagbilaran airport in Bohol. MGB Director Leo Jasareno said apart from Poblacion 1, there is no need to evacuate surrounding areas until a technical assessment is made. Jasareno is urging local officials to strictly enforce a no-entry policy around the demarcation line identifying the sinkhole area. He said experts hope to draw up a sinkhole map of Bohol.
