Tagbilaran port damaged in quake; PNP guards vs looting

Interior and Local Government Secretary Mar Roxas on Wednesday met with Tagbilaran City Mayor John Geesnell 'Baba' Yap II and Bohol Governor Edgar Chatto to discuss the extent of the damage wrought by Tuesday's massive eaarthquake in Tagbilaran City. Officials said the Tagbilaran port, which is considered the major port for all goods being transported to Manila, has been greatly damaged by the earthquake. Many residents have fled to Tagbilaran sports complex after the quake. Police said they will guard evacuees' homes to prevent looting. The officials also discussed the damage sustained by century-old churches in the province. ANC, October 16, 2013
