Pacers' Granger could miss season opener due to injury

Just when Indiana Pacers star Danny Granger was getting back in the groove, his comeback attempt hits another road block. A calf injury could sideline Granger for the Pacers' season opener on October 29 against the Orlando Magic. Granger played in just five games last season because of a knee injury. His new calf injury is unrelated to that, but Pacers coach Frank Vogel said he is concerned that his star wingman is not building enough strength in the knee because he has been unable to practice for several days. -- ANC Dateline Philippines, October 25, 2013
