PNoy arrives at Zamboanga airport

ZAMBOANGA CITY - President Aquino has arrived at the Zamboanga Airport to check on the resumption of flights at the major international gateway. Footage taken by ABS-CBN News showed Aquino visiting the airport with Interior and Local Government Secretary Mar Roxas, Defense Secretary Voltaire Gazmin, Social Welfare Secretary Dinky Soliman and Civil Aviation Authority of the Philippines (CAAP) Deputy director general John Andrews. Cebu Pacific flight 5J-849 from Manila safely arrived at the Zamboanga airport at around 10 a.m. Thursday. This, after CAAP lifted the suspension on the airport after 10 days due to the conflict in the province. A total of 18 passengers were in the flight. Among them was CAAP deputy director general Capt. John Andrews to further evaluate the airport condition and the new flight path of the plane to Zamboanga City. ANC, September 19, 2013
