Meet the Author who sells tea on an Indian roadside

Tea seller named Lakshman Rao Natthu Ji Shrivahte belongs to Tadegaon village, Amravati district of Maharashtra. Born on 22nd July 1952, he completed his education till class 8th at Tadegaon in Amravati. Inspired by Gulshan Nanda and Lakshman decided to be a writer like him in the future. But he was not aware that this job is very difficult so he returned to Amravati to qualify class 10.

Post that he worked at a mill for 5 years till 1975. He saved Rs 90 and moved to Delhi from Bhopal. He took shelter in Birla temple's dharmashala in Delhi. Delhi was completely unknown to him at that time. He worked as a labourer at Vishnu Digamber Marg near ITO.

He wanted to be a writer but he worked as a labourer before he started selling tobacco, paan etc., at Vishnu Digamber Marg in 1977. He had frequent rounds to Daryaganj market for books and thats where he got familiar with Shakespeare, Lenin, Gorky, Marx, Saratchandra Chattopadhyay, Munshi Premchand and Amrita Pritam and started reading their books.

Till then he had already written two books. He had written a novel named Ramdas and my second book was 'Nai Duniya Ki Nai Kahani'.
