Joe Biden maintained his lead for the Democratic presidential nomination, according to a new poll.
Minorities gravitated toward Biden in search of the safest bet for beating President Donald Trump in 2020.
The Aug. 1-5 public opinion poll was released on Wednesday.
It showed that 22% of Democrats and independents would vote for Biden.
According to the poll, 36% of Democrats say they are simply looking for someone who can win.
