Protesters block Hong Kong cross-harbour tunnel, as anti-government march is held in Mong Kok
  • 5 years ago
Another massive anti-government march filled streets in Mong Kok on August 3, 2019, drawing about 120,000 people, according to organisers.  Some protesters briefly shut down the Cross-Harbour Tunnel, one of three such critical traffic arteries between Hong Kong Island and Kowloon.  The tunnel shut down at around 7pm after demonstrators blocked all lanes on the Kowloon side with barricades, causing serious traffic congestion on both sides of the harbour.
