Tropical Storm Erick heads towards Hawaii - 6am HST July 29

Tropical Storm Erick looks to be developing an eye this morning as it nears the Central Pacific threshold. Erick could develop into a significant hurricane as it begins to draw nearer to Hawaii, and watches and warnings on the islands cannot be ruled out. However, the storm is expected to pass to the south, delivering little in the way of winds but up to 6 inches of rain later this week.
