NKorea TV broadcast says missile test is warning to South

North Korea's test of a new missile is intended as a "solemn warning to the South Korean military warmongers", state media has said. It comes after the North criticised plans by the South and the US to hold military drills in August. Pyongyang is also angry at Seoul's purchase of US-made high-tech fighter jets. US and North Korean officials are struggling to set up working-level talks after a recent meeting on the Korean border between Kim Jong-un and Donald Trump. South Korea's military say the flight data of the weapon launched on Thursday showed similarities to the Russian-made Iskander, a short-range, nuclear-capable missile. Report by Jonesia.
