Hey, today I'm going to be talking about how long should Youtube videos be to make money with affiliate marketing.
When it comes to making money with YouTube the hardest way is with ads. You just need lots of views just to make a little money.
If you know what you are doing with affiliate marketing you don't even need that many views from YouTube and can you make really good money.
To get views it helps to rank YouTube videos based on certain keywords. These keywords are a very big part of making videos.
When it comes to ranking videos and even blog posts the only thing that matters is the end user.
It used to be where you could backlink a video and get it to the top few spots in a competitive keyword. I did this and I got millions of views, it was wonderful.
Then Google changed some things and backlinks are not nearly as important.
With blog posts and even videos longer is usually better. Writing 2,500 word blog posts are not uncommon for competitive keywords.
If people are watching your videos for longer you will do better.
So, I tried experimenting forcing myself to write and make longer and longer videos, even when I didn't want to.
Guess what happened? Yea, I didn't enjoy it and I didn't look forward to working. I was burning myself out trying to please the Google Gods.
Obviously, your video has to have some meat to it, but the most important thing is that you are enjoying what you are doing.
Now, I write for a long as I want and I prefer it that way. Also, like I mentioned it comes down to keywords.
If you are targeting keywords that don't have a lot of competition then it's much easier to rank. Make sure the keyword is in the title, first sentence, last sentence and tags.
To see how much competition a keyword gets should put the keyword in quotes in Google. When you put a word or phrase in quotes, the results will only include pages with the same words in the same order as the ones inside the quotes.
A great idea to come up with keywords is to use Google keyword planner. This will tell you a range on how much traffic a keyword gets. Another idea to just use suggested keywords that are at the bottom on a Google search. It's really that easy.
