Panama Bans All Single-Use Plastic Bags

Panama has become the first country in Central America to ban all single-use plastic bags.
In Panama City, signs with the phrase “less bags, more life” reminded passersby that the measure had gone into effect.
It's an effort to curb pollution on its beaches and tackle one of the world’s biggest environmental challenges.
Reuters reports Panama joined more than 60 other countries that have totally or partially banned single-use plastic bags.
