M S Dhoni has informed the Board of Control for Cricket in India (BCCI) that he will be unavailable for two months and as a result, will be missing India's tour of the West Indies next month as he is joining the para regiment for the next 2 months.Dhoni, who holds an honorary post of Lieutenant Colonel in the Parachute regiment of the Territorial Army, had made this commitment even before the Cricket World Cup 2019. The MSK Prasad-led BCCI selection panel will meet on Sunday to announce the team.

धोनी के क्रिकेट से संन्यास को लेकर कयासों का दौर जारी है। भारतीय टीम के पूर्व कप्तान महेंद्र सिंह धोनी ने वेस्टइंडीज के भारतीय टीम के दौरे के लिए खुद को अनुपलब्ध बताया है। वह टीम के साथ अगामी सीरीज में उपलब्ध नहीं रहेंगे।पैरामिलिट्री फोर्स की पैराशूट रेजिमेंट में धोनी एक मानद लेफ्टिनेंट कर्नल हैं। बीसीसीआई के एक शीर्ष अधिकारी के मुताबिक यह पता चला है कि धोनी अपनी रेजिमेंट के साथ अगले दो महीने रहेंगे और अपनी सेवा सेना को देंगे।
