US Women's Soccer Receives $529,000 From Secret Deodorant Secret says it will donate $23,000
for each of the 23 members of the
U.S. Women's National Soccer team. The deodorant brand printed a full page ad in
the 'New York Times' on Sunday. Secret says it wants to "be on the right side
of history" in helping women's soccer
close the pay gap. The U.S. Soccer Federation was sued
by the USWNT in March for
alleged gender discrimination. Becca Roux, USWNT Players Association, via CNN The USWNT has been vocal about
pay discrimination throughout
the 2019 Women's World Cup. The United States defeated
the Netherlands 2-0 to win
back-to-back World Cup titles. The USWNT won best team at ESPN's 2019 ESPY awards.
