According to a report by Digital Trends, the Pentagon has reportedly developed a method for identifying and tracking people through their heartbeats, which are as unique and distinctive as fingerprints, but can also be read from a distance. Reportedly developed for identifying combatants in war zones, but with a wide array of terrifying dystopian applications, the new tech is able to identify individuals by listening to their cardiac signatures with an infrared laser.
